Of the few Westerners who visit this part of West Africa, over 90% hail from the region's former colonial ruler. This man and his wife drove their Citroen 2CV from France to Eastern Mali, where they donated it to the citizens of a small village. Before leaving Paris they had asked the students from their local primary school to decorate the car.
